Hawaii Education Matters is a non-profit, non-partisan coalition of public school parents and supporters. Our mission is to work for the improvement of Hawaii's public educational system by:

• Advocating for an immediate solution to the 17 lost school days that resulted from the Friday furlough of public school teachers.
• Helping parents to engage our political system and advocate for their children.
• Creating a long-term coalition of parents, educators and community leaders committed to achieving excellence in public education in Hawaii.
